Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
1.Be of non-Japanese nationality.
2.Obtain acceptance from a Japanese host institution prior to applying.
3.Hold a Ph.D. (Doctoral Degree) by the time of application.
4.Be 45 years old or younger (born in or after 1980).
5.Possess proficiency in English or Japanese.
6.Have no prior or current long-term stay in Japan (short-term visits for tourism or conferences are acceptable).
7.Be employed in their home country and committed to returning after the fellowship.
