With its July 2025 update, Denmark has expanded its Positive List, adding over 40 new in-demand professions. If your job is on this list, you can fast-track your Danish work and residence permit — with one of Europe’s highest success rates!

✅ What Is Denmark’s Positive List?

The Positive List is Denmark’s official shortage occupation list, updated twice a year (January & July). If your profession is on this list, you qualify for a streamlined work visa with simpler rules and quicker approval.

Denmark uses this system to attract global talent and fill critical skill gaps — especially in IT, engineering, business, and skilled trades.

📈 What’s New in July 2025?

🔹 Higher Education Positive List

●Expanded to 190 professions (from 162).

●28 new jobs added, including:

●Head of Finances / Logistics

●Hardware Developers

●Movie, TV & Animation Designers

●Business Intelligence Managers

●Management Consultants

●IT Engineers

●Communication Officers

🎓 Who qualifies?
Graduates with a university degree + relevant work experience.

🔹 Skilled Work Positive List

●Expanded to 65 jobs (from 48).

●17 new skilled trade roles added, including:

●Blacksmiths

●Electricity Distribution Technicians

●Service Technicians

●Electronics Mechanics

⚠️ Removed roles: IT Supporters, Webmasters, Secretaries, Finance Assistants, Welders.

If your job is no longer on the list, you may need an alternative visa route.

●Contract must be:

●Full-time (30+ hours/week)

●Signed by a Danish employer

●Include salary at Danish standard.
