🔍 Program Overview

UEW’s BA German Education program allows you to specialize in one of three minors:

1.German Education with French
2.German Education with English
3.German Education with Applied Linguistics

You’ll become an expert in teaching German and prepare for roles such as:

●Professional German teacher in schools
●Trainer at language institutes or certified exam centres
●Translator or interpreter for German companies in Ghana
●Tour guide in German-speaking destinations
●Freelance language and cultural consultant

🎓 Eligibility Requirements

1. WASSCE Applicants

●Credit passes (A1–C6) in six subjects: English, Maths, Integrated Science/Social Studies, plus three electives such as Literature in English, French, or a Ghanaian Language

2. SSSCE / ABECE / GBCE Applicants

●Credit grades (A–D) in six subjects, same grouping as WASSCE

3. GCE ‘O’/‘A’ Level Applicants

●Five ‘O’ Level credits including English and Maths + two ‘A’ Level passes (other than General Paper)

4. Diploma / HND Holders

●Must present a recognized diploma or HND

5. Baccalauréat or Equivalent

●Grade C or above in English and another foreign language; evaluation via GTEC required

Note: If you earned qualifications outside Ghana, you must have them evaluated and cleared by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Submission of the GTEC report is mandatory .
